This is actually a review of what I observed more than the performance. I did test it briefly on lug nuts and it clicked at spec like typical torque wrenches. The adjustment is easy, a turn and lock. Easy to turn and read the numbers. I know people will cross-shop this and the Kobalt, based on price. For better or worse I chose this over the Kobalt for a few reasons. One, it is a few inches longer which equals more leverage. Two, the grip is contoured which looks more fitted for the hand. It IS a type of plastic so longevity is unknown. The adjusting ring is also plastic. The head is smaller which could be good for tight spaces. Is is as robust? Who knows. The current warranties on Craftsman and Kobalt are both 1 year limited. They are also both made in Taiwan. One thing to note, this product is advertised as having a range of 50-250 ft. lbs. Actually it is 20-250, per the instruction book and the tool itself. Curiously, the outer packaging described it as 50-250, so maybe there was a design update? That was a pleasant surprise.

I purchased this to torque the lug nuts on my Xterra. I tried using a beam wrench but found it too difficult to get the right setting. Others have complained about having to twist the adjustment knob so much but that was easy and went quickly. The wrench is a good length for leverage at higher torque settings and I did not have any issues torqueing the lug nuts on my tires with interference. In small spaces the length might be an issue so be warned. Overall I am impressed with this wrench. It comes in a nice case and has a calibration note around the shaft. I beleive it will serve me well.
