Definitely works well for regular waxing and polishing. I’ve had no problems with it. Some of the negative reviews were probably people who didn’t know how to operate it properly. Don’t take my word for it, checkout a youtube video where a professional shop demos this polisher. I recommend watching that for the real pros and cons. For my use, it’s exactly what I need to keep my two cars looking great.
