After reading the reviews I thought sure I would have issues with the soft start and no variable speed trigger especially since I never used this type of jig saw before , No problem all systems work fine and effortlessly, even the 2 buttons for starting it , no confusion The light comes on as soon as you push the first button how is that confusing , being able to hold the saw closer to your work then the D handle is much nicer plus no plug to deal with ! Spendy yes but worth it for me .
