This sun joe tiller really digs the dirt! I was pleasantly surprised by how well it dug in, even in harder ground. It is very light weight, so you almost have to hold it in place on harder areas, but once it breaks the surface it will almost bury itself in no time. It doesn’t like rocks, but what tiller does? You gotta hold on tight so it doesn’t jump outta your hands when it hits a rock cause its so lightweight. Tills up soil in no time, better than my old gas tiller at less than half the cost. It takes time to get used to the cord, but i found throwing it over my shoulder and walking it backwards the best option. Great tiller!

The tiller is lightweight and a nice size for a small garden tiller powerful. My yard is clay and rocks. My fear was the first time I used the tiller I was going to destroy it because of all the rocks in the yard but that wasn’t the case. It would pick up the rocks of various sizes and throw them away from the work being done. I was very concerned that I would just destroy the blades on the first attempt it didn’t happen. I’m very happy with this machine and if my yard ruins it after time I will get another one.

I purchased because I wanted to dig up a section of my lawn that was uneven and filled with weeds. While it did take a while, it did a great job of cutting through the sod. I did have to rock back and forth on spots as it wasn’t heavy enough to cut through the thicker parts easily. In another section of my lawn where I had already smothered the weeds down to dirt, it cut through like a breeze, very happy with the purchase. For the price it did a great job.
