When Kobalt first came out with an 80volt blower a few years ago, I bought it after scoping out the competition. And it still serves me well. My only concern was it’s limited run time. So I’ve been looking for either more battery or more oomph per pound, as I have a sizable yard to manage. After much thought and looking at today’s slate of candidates, I decided to purchase the newest, baddest blower yet, another Kobalt 80! This baby is a champ! More run time, more powerful, and improved features, such as cruise control. It’s a bit heavy, but still lighter than my old gas guzzler. I’ve used it along with my old faithful Kobalt, and I love it I love it!

I don’t really have a point of reference when it comes to leaf blowers, but this thing is pretty strong, and with it’s “turbo” button, it makes it even more powerful. Blowing leaves and grass debris is a sinch for this. I don’t really find myself using the turbo button. Battery life is no issue for me. I use it for about 15-20 and still has some juice left. If you’re planning on using this for more than 30 minutes then it might be a good idea to have a second battery just in case. This has also come in handy when it comes time for me to dry my car before I finish it off with a microfiber towel. So if you’re looking for a total touchless wash, this leaf blower may help you, but I recommend getting a smaller tip to increase the air pressure to move more water.
