This is a nice kit with included carry bag, charger, accessory handle, 24 Volt Lithium Ion 2 Amp Hour battery and of course the combo drill/driver. This is the first brushless tool I have owned and the motor takes some getting used to. Since there are no brushes, the rotor feels like there is some slop in the action when it comes to a stop as there is no physical drag, only the magnets that bring it to a stop. The battery charges quickly, about 20 minutes for mine. This is a combo drill/driver as there are 2 speed settings and a clutch so you don’t over tighten screws. The battery seems a little stiff to slide on the main unit, but maybe it will break in over time. The keyless chuck has a metal finish, unlike some others that are rubber, so this may be a plus or minus depending on your feel for how it tightens and if you over tighten, getting a good grip on the metal collar. The accessory handle is nice for extra grip and keeping it steady, but I usually never use them myself. I have a small woodshop and a cordless screwdriver is one of my top 10 tools. This should make a nice addition, but I wish it came with a second battery pack so I could charge one while using the other. Overall, a very nice tool.

They have been redesigned since i bought mine 6 years ago. I have hauled mine in the bed of my truck. On my tractor. In the trunk of my car. On my Harley. Neighbors have borrowed it. It has seen some hard use. It still works perfectly. I liked it so much i went and bought the sawzall. Circular saw. And drill. I have tried many brands but this Kobalt beats them all without bad. I just put 54 8 inch screws in landscape timbers yesterday. Awesome quality.
