This jigsaw is amazing. I own several other Kobalt 24V products, and I’ve been impressed by each of them. I used this to build my 16’x8′ deck, & I cut 9 squares for the inside-set rail posts. By the time I carefully (slowly) made all the cuts, I had only used 1 bar of the 2 amp-hour battery. The features are great. It’s easy to adjust the bevel, and easy to begin a cut without having to drill a starter hole. My only knock is that the plastic plate comes off very easily while making more difficult cuts, but it’s really not a big deal. 4.5/5 easy.

I brought this to my shop and was cutting parts for various repairs and projects with in 5 minutes of opening the box. I have used this on 2X material, OSB, hard board, plywood, red oak and birch plywood, maple, cherry and solid red oak so far and have been very please with the cut quality, accuracy and speed of this saw. One of my first big projects with it was to cut blanks for the side post’s on a head board for a solid red oak sleigh bed, this did the job in about 60% of the time some of my previous saws have done. This won’t compete toe to toe with a Festool carvex or a Maffle very well and not many people need a saw like that how ever I would not hesitate to run this against a Bosch, Makita, Craftsman, DeWalt, Milwaukee, ETC. This won’t beat every single saw there is in every single aspect but it can hold its own against the best of them.
