I don’t know much about sewing machines, but my daughter is really enjoying it! She wanted something small, but a machine capable of doing minor clothing repairs, embellishments and small craft projects. This is a real sewing machine …just very compact. It would be a great first sewing machine for a child or an adult who didn’t want to store a full-size sewing machine. My daughter says it works just like a full-size machine, but on a smaller scale. The directions are clear, but I would enlist an experienced sewer to get a new sewer up to speed quickly. Comes with pedal, power source and the accessories shown. A nice little sewing machine.
