Was looking for a inexpensive well rated simple to build stand for my miter saw.. this fit the bill perfectly.. went together in under 20mins. Fit the saw really well.. only one longer bolt was needed to secure the saw [ no fault of the stand] and its working out great.

This miter stand is a great value at the normal $99 price. It is a combinaton of a few different powertec stands with some of the better features from each. I use it for finish carpentry. Compact size for easy storage. LIGHT. Sets up in seconds. Construction is very solid, material supports are sturdy and a great extended length – perfect for 12’ crown. This isnt made to hold up 2x10s, but would probably do it alright with a prop or an extra support further out. I wish it had the flip stops from the most similar powertec, but it has the better material support arm clamps. Wish the tray sqaure slot was larger for a speed sqaure but a combo sqaure fits. I retrofitted leg mounted lumber supports from the powertec mt4003 to keep the sticks off the ground. Have a 12” double bevel ridgid saw on it and is rock solid. Also, the ryobi stand mounts as well as several aftermarket ones for double tube rails click right. I have mounts for a router table and a 10” chop saw setup.

Very pleased with this stand. Nice compromise for DIYer if you want some portability and a way to fold and stow your miter saw in between projects. Not as funky or unstable as the rolling stands – if youre not pro going to different sites every day – but way more manueverable than heavier stands with no wheels. I’m using stand with big 12″ Dewalt 779 which is a beast and hard to move around even unattached. Dewalt fits great on Ridgid mounting brackets (included) and allows me to move saw around now like its on a hand cart. Pretty sweet. PLEASE NOTE: Dewalt base must be beefier than Ridgid saw base because mounting bolts (included) are a little short. If you are mounting Dewalt saw, just buy four M8 bolts that are 1/4″ – 1/2″ longer to fasten saw directly to brackets.

I’m a homeowner and DIY’er. I bought this stand to use with my Porter Cable 3802L. The stand replaces a homemade wooden one. It is just right for my uses, it meets all my expectations, and I think other people like me will like this stand. Assembly: Simple and fairly quick. Two things slowed me down a little. My brand of saw needs longer mounting screws than the ones supplied. I expected that, thanks to other reviewers. One of the four nuts that accepts the mounting screws was out of true. I fiddled with it for at least 10 minutes before I could get that one in. Use: I Have had the stand for about a month. I have sawn a few 1-1/2” oak dowels and several mitered pieces off of a 10’ 2×4. My next use for it will be cutting luxury vinyl plank for my dining room. The stand is very stable. All adjustments are very easy. It was easy to adjust the outrigger rollers to support the longer two-by. I like the little trays. I use them for pencil, ear plugs, and the small bolt I use as a trigger safety. The legs fold and unfold easily. I haven’t tried putting the stand on its end with the saw mounted. Not confident that it will stay balanced int that position with the saw attached. But I don’t need the space that would save. If I ever did, I would find a way to hang the saw and its mounting rails on the wall. I used the wheels to easily move the stand around with the saw mounted.

The RIDGID Professional Compact Miter Saw Stand is solid, easy and quick to assemble, provides a decent work height (32.5” from floor to top rail), and folds to a low profile, perfect for hanging on my garage wall. With only a 20’x 20’ garage, I didn’t want something that took up valuable floor Space. The mounting brackets that attach to your saw came with a variety of hardware, to fit most any miter saw. Once clamped onto the top rails, the saw is secure and ready to get the job done. If you’re looking for a stand that will store your miter saw on end, this probably isn’t for you. Those types of stands typically have a built on end piece for stability, but they take up a lot more floor space. If you’re looking for a solid, well made stand for your miter saw, this stand will do the job.

Great saw, awesome price. I love that’s double bevel and the light works well. Used it for a Trex deck.
