So I’m a carpenter that works for a remodeling company. We have three senior Carpenters that have trucks of gear, and then me, who doesn’t have a truck if gear. I got this because I want to be a mobile carpenter that can do decent sized jobs quickly. Hence why I purchased this saw. I have a larger radial arm saw that was taking up most the space in my Subaru, so I needed a better and affordable solution (I couldn’t pick the kids up after work, just too much gear). So I purchased this saw with a large tough box, and squared everything away so tight, it was spectacular how much more room I have now. As for the saws performance? It cuts a 2×6 or a 4x4with ease, but wouldn’t be able to cut anything larger than those two size. The blade has huge teeth so you’ll need to purchase a 60t blade for finer cuts.

I bought a circular saw for my first tool. I was able to make a farmhouse table. However, for safety purposes and more accurate cuts for a beginner, this should have been my first purchase. I looked at several other saws in this price range. I went with this one because of the brand and looks. I went to the store and fumbled around with the displays for like an hr. Stared at it and I just took a chance. Glad I did. The setup was extremely easy. The user manual was simple to follow. The stock blade is better than the stock blade in my circular saw. But i still have to sand down my cuts sometimes. That could be me just needing improvement.
