Very good saw. Previous saw was corded harbor freight portable bandsaw and the Dewalt is much nicer. Make sure to get the 0.020″ blades for this. The harbor freight (and some other saws ) have a blade thickness of 0.025 instead of 0.020″. Cut some Schedule 40 PVC pipe… cut like butter. Tried on 3/8″ diameter steel bolt… cut slow, this another bolt would have dulled blade. Stock blade appears to be 24 teeth per inch (TPI), not best solution for steel that thick. Bought extra blades and tried a 10/14 TPI blade and cut well. Having a couple of different blades/TPI sizes makes a big difference. Please note the 374B is a bare tool… no batteries or case. I have plenty of 20Vmax batteries, so not an issue. Also, this 5 inch cut band saw uses 44 7/8 inch blades ( chose the TPI for Application)… be aware that Dewalt part numbers are identical to the 2″ cut band saw… except the 2″ bandsaw is considered “compact” and the blades for it have a “C” suffix after the part number… IE DW3986 for the 5 inch 374B saw, DW3986C for blade for 2″ cut band saw. Again, very good saw, just get additional blades with different TPI numbers to really get what you need out of saw.

Didn’t know how much time this tool would save me in my line of work it’s light easy to use, battery last a long to time, easy to change band. I would have bought this band saw a long time ago if I would have known how much time I would have saved
