Perfect for me and my kids who enjoy ice fishing on the weekends, and don’t want to pay for or carry a gas auger. I didn’t think a hand auger would cut ice so easily or so quickly, because I’ve used old augers (apparently with dull blades) in the past. This auger cuts through 8 inches of ice in 10 seconds – no kidding. I was able to cut 10 holes in just minutes, applying very little downward pressure.
