The RYOBI Brand, 110 MPH 410 CFM 18-Volt ONE+ Brushless Lithium-Ion Cordless Variable-Speed Jet Fan 4Ah Battery Blower & Charger Included is an outstanding addition to the Ryobi 18-Volt tool line with specifications nearly equal to those of Ryobi’s 40-Volt blowers. I trimmed my sidewalks to tryout this powerful new battery powered blower, yet mother nature was doing a pretty good job of her own blowing the lawn clippings around. Right now, the trees are leafing out in March so there were no leaves to try this blower with. I found the lower speed of the blower useful for blowing the trimmings into a pile for sweeping up. The turbo speed worked well for blowing the fines out onto the lawn, leaving the sidewalks perfectly clean. Perhaps there is a reason for having a momentary turbo button on the blower rather than a speed switch, like the Ryobi ONE, line trimmer has, such as making it easier for the blower motor to speed up if already running. It does seem rather cumbersome to have to hold both the trigger to operate the blower and then also depress the turbo button at the same time to get increased air flow. The blower is easy to assemble out of the box having only the blower discharge tube to snap onto the motor housing. This Ryobi blower is not as powerful as a 1,000-watt corded blower, yet it produces adequate airflow to get the job done. The wall wart battery charger is slow, taking 90-minutes to fully charge a battery discharged by 50-percent. I do find myself using my cordless tools more often in our half acre yard then when I had to bring out the portable generator for corded tools. And I am accomplishing more and working less with Ryobi cordless tools.
