I was going to buy the similar Hitachi model, however this drill was on sale and significantly discounted so I took a shot. I am glad I did. The quality is very impressive, and the construction is very sturdy. The reconfigurable handle is excellent, and has a quick release lever. I used the drill to drive a number of 10 inch and 6 inch long timberlok screws into landscaping timbers. It did so with ease. the variable speed control of the trigger is very gradual, so you can modulate your speed easily. I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about Kobalt electric power tools, and it appears the praise was warranted

Bought this drill last year and its not let me down. I along with a lot of other people here was slightly confused about the handle but after about 5 min of looking at it I realized you can release the flip tensioner and if its not big enough turn the handle to adjust how big the ring gets. Personally this drill is the best bang for your buck. I have a 20v dewalt cordless drill and this one has the torque to tear your arm off if your not careful. Lol not really but it is powerful. I didn’t get a warranty because most of the time its a waste. I fix my own tools. Usually cheaper than buying a stupid warranty. Other than that its a great product. Negative things, I wish the cord was longer but with an extension cord its whatever.
