The finish on these tools is stunning. The foam in between helps prevent scratching and clanging/banging during movement. The hinges on the box certainly are removable, though I don’t understand the purpose. Perhaps they’ll start working themselves loose overtime. The mold which holds the tools is very tight in the upper half, so tight that it hurt my fingers trying to get some of the sockets out, and I usually don’t complain about pain! I’m sure they’ll work loose over time as well, and there being no locking cover to divide the halves, this is most likely a good thing . . . just use an extension or whatever is in reach to pry them out. I like the screwdriver tool; the way they built it to take a separate attachment, an extension, or to be used directly with sockets. The ratchet gears are super smooth and don’t jam up nor skip. Like most sets, you get a spark plug socket as well. One thing they could start doing is labeling everything for quicker identification, not only molding the numbers. For the quality you get in this set, the value is sure hard to beat! If in doubt, you also get a FULL lifetime warranty.

Also the tool set comes with 52 piece specialty tools such as: 14 piece combination wrenches sizes: 3/8″ -3/4″ plus 10 mm – 17 mm. The case has 4 metal latches : 2 ea. front end ( where the carrying handle is) and 1 latch at each end of the case. The weight of the tool set is 23.4 lbs.
